The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation's largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.

The American Legion's success depends entirely on active membership, participation, and volunteerism.
The organization belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which it thrives.

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since 7 December 1941 and were honorably discharged, or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

We would welcome your membership in NC Post 370 in Highlands. To do so, we invite you to attend one of our monthly meetings at 0900 on the third Saturday of each month and let one of the Post Officers know you're visiting.
Our Adjutant will take care of getting you enrolled.

If you have specific questions about Post 370, you may use the Contact Us form and we will be delighted to give you a quick response.
